What year is my bike? top This can be determined by looking at the 10th digit of your VIN starting from the left with characters LF3 being 1, 2 and 3 character respectively. 6 would be a 2006, 9 would be a 2009 and A would be a 2010.

What oil do I use? top Most Lifan bikes are recommended 15w 40w oil. 10w 40w is acceptable if 15w 40w is unavailable in your area. Synthetic is not recommended as it is smaller in molecular size due to the extra refinement and is more likely to cause leak issues.
How do I order parts? top American Lifan does not sell parts to the public as we have no retail sales capability, license or credit card charge systems in place. All parts orders are to be done through your local dealer. You may find a local dealer by utilizing our dealer finder and inputing your zip code.
Is my bike legal for street use? top All lifan 2 wheeled motorized bikes are legal for street use with the following exceptions, LF50QGY & LF110GY-3 and any other bike designed for off-road use with 110cc or smaller engine.
How do I get techical assistance? top American Lifan Corporation has limited technical assistance availability to our nationwide dealer network. This technical assistance is not available to the general public as this service is provided by your American Lifan dealership.

Do I have a Lifan bike? top Although all Lifan motorbikes have what is called a WMI code as indicated by the US government it is not unknown for competitors to copy our WMI to pretend to be a Lifan product. All Lifan motorbikes start with a VIN number of LF3. Other indicators to check for are quality frame welds, quality chrome components or body paint.

How do I order aftermarket parts? top American Lifan is a Original Equipment Manufacturer and does not market or solicit aftermarket parts or sales. Most Lifan bikes are modeled after other manufacturers so it is quite common for our bikes to fit other manufacturer product aftermarket parts. Contact your dealer for these references as they typically sell such items to the public.
How do I interpret my VIN number? top We have included a pdf reference to provide in depth knowledge regarding our VIN numbers and what each character means.
How do I become a Lifan Dealer? top First step is to use our dealer finder and to ensure there is not a dealer within 10 miles (City radius) or 15 miles if in small population center. The second step is to review the dealer application and complete the necessary information. Note, that Lifan is a name brand and drop shipping is not allowed. You must own a brick and mortars location and have a reputable service technician on staff. Finally you would place an order with American Lifan so that customers can see the quality of a Lifan bike in person for this is the greatest Lifan sales tool.
How do I make a warranty claim? top All Lifan bikes come with a Manufacturers Defect warranty. This indicates that any manufacturer defect would be covered under warranty. American Lifan provides this warranty to our dealership network as it is impossible for American Lifan to inspect and determine all valid claims as warrantable. It goes without saying that common wear and tear items are never covered under warranty which would include and not be limited to brake components, tires, batteries, light bulbs, chains and other wear and tear items. To make a claim under warranty return your bike to your local Lifan dealership and they will start the claims process.
Can I order a bike direct from Lifan? top American Lifan does not have the proper license to sell retail and this would be a direct conflict of interest with our dealer network. The answer to this question is No, one cannot order a bike direct from Lifan. Please utilize our dealer finder to find a dealer near you.
